David Cameron campaigning in the north
In a message to supporters - surrounded by 'DC for No. 10' posters - David Cameron says that 'vote blue, go green' is not some "namby-pamby" message for Notting Hill but for all voters who want cleaner streets, less graffiti and areas free of crime. He says that the top issue is the cost of living and says that Conservative councils will keep council tax down. He also defends his tough approach to Gordon Brown at PMQs. I get angry, he says, with a Prime Minister who takes positions - on the 10p tax band and 42 days' detention without trial - for political, rather than substantial, reasons.
