Disgraceful. It seems fraudulent, so what will the EU do about these MEPs, and presumably others, as this seems to be accepted practice?

robertnow

Gordon Brown rarely attends the House of Commons but still collects his £68,000 salary - surely no different to these MEPs.

Sally Roberts

Fortunately our British Conservative MEPs don't behave like this! They all work exceptionally hard.

Michael mcgough

A similar exercise was done a few years ago when one of the errant MEPs actually walked into a wall trying to avoid the cameras.

Anyway what is 300 Euro for a Friday compared to the hundreds of thousands milked by 'flipping' MPs at Westminster.
It is only taxpayers' money after all and we plebs should be grateful.

"British Conservative MEPs don't behave like this! " really!!! there is a piece in the archive which would dispute that

Chris

Yes, the 300 euros may be a drop in the ocean compared with what else they can get. Worth remembering that pension perks for these individuals are worth clinging on to at all costs:

This is typical of the arrogance and disdain of the modern professional political class, of almost all nationalities, towards us voters(the plebs)who still go on voting for them despite endless examples, such as this, of their lack of honesty, ability or credibility. Do we really deserve anything better?

And the day-to-day spending of the European Parliament’s 736 members – 72 of them from the UK – remains secret as they are exempt from Freedom of Information requests....
A UKIP spokesman said: 'The system is set up to allow this. We know of French MEPs who leave Paris early in the evening arive in Brussels sign in before 8pm, go to work and sign in early in the morning and head back on the train to Paris after pocketing €600.

'The previous response from the European Parliament, when a reporter uncovered this going on before, was to clamp down on transparency and ban cameras from where MEPs sign in.
'How much is being lost to taxpayers? It's unknowable.'
He added: 'It's a bizarre way, but if you just turn up, sign in and do nothing you can earn a decent sum. The harder you work the less money you earn.'.."

The Italian should be arrested for assault, and theft. Criminals the lot of them.

Superb site you have here but I was wondering if you knew of any discussion boards that cover the same topics discussed in this article? I'd really love to be a part of group where I can get responses from other knowledgeable individuals that share the same interest. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks a lot!

My coder is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the costs. But he's tryiong none the less. I've been using Movable-type on a variety of websites for about a year and am worried about switching to another platform. I have heard fantastic things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress posts into it? Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!
