Murdoch's appraisal is very astute.

I started out as a big fan of McCain but the more I watch him, the less impressed I become. His positions seem driven more by self-righteous emotion than by dispassionate analysis. And he doesn't seem very bright.

A victory for Obama would remind the world just what is possible in America - and would hopefully reduce the pathetic kneejerk anti-Americanism we see today.
