So true Americans only ever care about themselves I don't see the Sentate publicly interegating Union Carbide officials who killed 2,000 people and is still affecting many more.

That hearing wasn't the sign of a democracy in action no one was getting to the truth there it was as good as a Nazi or Stalinist show trial. I don't know why you permit this insult to a great British Company and by extension to GREAT Britain to be published here? Bear in mind what nation's armed forces are notorious for "Blue on Blue", "Friendly Fire", "Collateral Damage" etc. Which nation has carelessly destroyed priceless archeological items in Iraq whereas British Armed Forces were instructed to treat such items with great care?

The one really good thing about the BP row is that it has shown how pathetic are its political leaders from the president down. They seem to have been getting a refresher course in McCarthyism and how to degrade and insult individuals (and, I am tempted to add, nations). Do these people deserve us as allies? I am beginning to have very serious doubts.

It's no joke. Obama, who previously I have had some time for, is damaging a great British company and one is which many of us have our pension funds invested by those who run such things.
