Tim, obviously he went too far with his Nazi analogy - but how else will the Euro-elites get the message? Who else is there who says No, No, No to the EU?
Cameron's approach seems to be pretend to be Eurosceptic, and then give in to Europe at every turn.
I will always vote Tory over UKIP, because the Tories can actually make things happen - but Schulz and the rest of the federalists are destroying Britain and the other nation states of Europe. They need to be reminded of the other times in history that has been tried from time to time.
"Indeed, it wasn’t so long ago that one MEP, furious because Eurosceptics were calling for a referendum, said this:
“During the Weimar Republic, some pursued a strategy of trying to shout down their political opponents. That was how Adolf Hitler behaved, and it was how I felt today”.
The author of those words? Martin Schulz. (You can watch him speak them here).
Now Mr Shulz was being silly as well as rude: calling for a referendum is not the same thing as bringing down the Weimar Republic. But no one suggested that he should be forced to apologise, let alone expelled from the hemicycle. Freedom, after all, includes the freedom to make stupid comparisons."
I'm not so sure he actually did the Nazi salute, I have not read that anywhere and it does not show it on the video.
A bit rich for Schulz to be getting his knickers in a twist; after all he has likened Euroscepticism to fascism and insulted Václav Klaus, the then Czech President. His defence... he did not know he was being recorded.
From what I have read of him Schultz likes to dole it out but runs crying to mummy when someone bites back. Good on you Godfrey Bloom! It needs someone to say it bluntly and if it hurts then Schultz should quit politics and take up a less robust career.

Well done Godfrey!! Watched the whole thing. He has only returned serve on Schultz who seems able to insult without being censured himself. Funny old thing that!
Mr. Bloom's performance will please many Tories like me who are sick and tired of Cameron's duplicity and dishonesty on the EU since he became Prime Minister.
Having watched a few videos of Bloom he comes across as a complete and utter tit. He is the ultimate stereotype of what many pro-EU types state all sceptics are like. I find myself just wanting to support everything he dislikes just to annoy him.
Martin Schulz was an Apprenticed Bookseller before entering politics and is obnoxious. He is so obnoxious as to have provoked Berlusconi into comparing him to a "Kapo" or Kameradschaftspolizei - ie. a prisoner who worked on behalf of the concentration camp administration.
That Bloom who is a prize idiot should be known - and shown on German TV - for such puerile stunts makes Yorkshire MEPs a rum lot. The Tory MEP lost the whip immediately after the election, so we only have Andrew Brons to represent us really.
It would be nice to see what prompted his comments

Schulz does have some bizarre views - especially on a full EU Superstate

I'd post the full video but Pravda would remove it.............

Schulz needs to be reminded the the people of the United Kingdom voted for a free trade area, not a "European Parliament" or a "European Union".
Perhaps Godfrey Bloom should remind him?

Isn't this Godfrey bloke the one who said basically all women between 18 and 40 something shouldn't be employed because they might get pregnant?
Silly.

Having watched the short version and the longer version I didn't notice the Nazi salute mentioned in the headline.
It seems that Schultz can dish it out, but he can't take it.

Daniel Hannan's take on it:

I wonder if people think Mr.Schulz should have been suspended and apologize also?
Childish behaviour for sure, but thanks to Cameron, there will probably be more of them next time round.

Just as he was asked to leave, I'm sure you can lip read him saying "What? Was it something I said?"
Never noticed any Nazi salute though. I was wondering how it would have compared with Basil Fawlty.

What was that about closet racists and fruitcakes?
UKIP show their colours as an embarrassment to their country.
