Big Bad John

I think John Prescott should do one of those big shits in the Thames and then planes can fly on and off it all day.

The good thing is the taxpayer has already paid for the raw materials given his food expenses!

A floating runway is better in some respects as it won't flood, it will just bob up and down on the tide/waves.

Just extend eurostar to all the major destinations, new york, chicago, auckland, a few long tunnels should do the job?

that way our bags wouldnt go missing so often when in the care of those wonderful baggage handlers

:)

Harry Hill

Just give the go-ahead to a 3rd runway at Heathrow. Won't cost the tax payer anything.

kent as a whole does not want this. boris should just look after the people who voted for him as no one in kent did. if u want a new airport boris try henley on thames u stick one right on the river there.

He ignores the real risk of bird strike with a massive world breeding site. Millions of birds don't know they shouldn't be near a runway.

If they want to be innovative they should develop Manston which is a long runway and easily available for development in an area needing redevelopment. Passengers could be sped into Central London by simply extending the Kent High Speed Rail Link. There is a motorway leading to the M25. Freight would be a particularly easy development to outplace to Manston.

You can't have an airport in the Thames Estuary cos conservative logic says sea levels is rising.

I don't usually disagree with Boris but on this I feel that a feel that more economical, safe and environmentally superior solution to Boris Island and one which could be achieved far sooner and cheaper is to build a second runway at London Gatwick Airport. The infrastructure is already there, it has two terminals, good road and rail links and is in relatively open countryside unlike London Heathrow.
