I only hope that he wakes up to the fact that his team of (so called) 'expert' advisors are doing him a grave diservice and sacks the lot of them before its too late.

I think it's a good idea. It's highly unlikely that 700,000 people will be expelled, so if they are to stay here, they might as well stay here as recognised citizens.
Improvements in border controls (already a conservative policy I believe - or was until Labour theft) would combat a possible increase in illegal immigrants who may come due to a change in policy.
