Miliband is using a variant on the Big Lie technique. Make enough loud indignant noises, feign enough outrage, shed enough crocodile tears, and people will forget that it was Labour, Labour, Labour which allowed this to go on. Labour which politicised the Metropolitan Police, some of whom are now accused of taking bribes from Labour's friends. Labour which ignored the protests when the police investigation "failed". Labour which refused an inquiry in the face of complaints and protests. Miliband is an opportunist and a hypocrite. He should be apologising to the nation for his party's role in all this. At least Murdoch is mounting his own investigation as to what went on in his organisation. Why isn't the Labour Party doing the same?
