Nick Clegg seemed well out of his depth.

If he had done this before XMAS I have no doubt the Lib Dems would have shopped him. Now it is too late for the Lib Dems as Clegg Wobbles and opens the way to a big Lib Dem defeat. Clegg also failed to rule out propping up Gordon Brown. So a vote for the Lib Dems is a vote for Clegg.

lol - made a few mistakes!

An these are the people whom Cameron would prefer to court rather than actual Conservative voters. No wonder the polls are where they are.

I think Cameron has been trying to encourage those Conservatives who have moved over to the Lib Dems to come back to their natural home, rather than 'courting' the likes of Nick Clegg

Moreover, I also think the Conservatives can and should highlight the sheer ineptitude of the Fib Dems to all the British public and demonstrate this election is a clear choice between Labour and the Conservatives

You f****** suck Clegg.

Go back to school.

LMAO this was even worse for Nick Clegg than i thought.

We already have a mechanism for 'channelling people to those parts of the economy where we need them to work'. It involves a few things called freedom of movement (which Clegg appears to want to deny), variations in wages (which he wants to reduce), and self-interest (which is a dirty word these days).

C'mon, Clegg, it's not hard. Just live up to the 'liberal' bit of the party's name.

Nicholas Keen

Ill-prepared -- totally out of his depth.

Steve Tierney

There's nothing Liberal left in the "Liberal" Democrats. They are just pure Social Democrats now - and weak ones at that.

Andrew S

I have to agree - he completely messed up there. Caught out and looked extremely foolish in the process.

I predict, although I am not as yet sure where I am able to put money on it, that after the election (if the Lib Dems do badly), they will kick him out and Charles Kennedy will be re-unstated as leader.

That is something that I would like to see (being their most popular leader by far - from an entirely non-partisan viewpoint)

Andrew S

*re-instated.

Predictive text ducking sucks!

Clegg did rather well in my view. John Sopel was being ridiculous trying to make him name specific areas in the West Midlands - of course we need detailed information on populations, job vacancies and skills shortages, so is Clegg supposed to have this memorised for the entire country?

I hope the standards of interviewers are higher as election coverage gets craned up, but I somehow doubt it.

He makes me want to VOMIT!

Another Laberal '£30 per week pension' moment!

This pathetic idiot should NEVER have been given elevated status because of the TV debates.
However, Cameron may just be able to make ammends for this mistake by asking this pathetic so called 'leader' about the Laberal's immigration policies.

How can people complain they lose a freedom, when a new law gives others more freedom? Like a law prohibiting?
outdoor smoking would give people who go outdoors the freedom to breath more fresh air and be healthier. Nonsmokers are the majority, so more people gain freedom than lose freedom.

What are some quotes about freedom in the novel Brave new world to represent the World states freedom and John?
There is one in particular by Lenina that is something like we have the Freedom to be happy or something...

Health is the best treasure (which) a man can possess. Money can do many things, but it cannot buy happiness. However, so long as man has good health, he can enjoy the pleasures of human life. Thank you so much for this tutorial! Red velvet is my husband's favorite, so he LOVED the heart surprise in the middle when he cut into his birthday cake last week :)

That is indeed beneficial to many. Glad to see some celebrations.
