Jowell has never had a career in the competitive sector and is deeply ignorant. Her comments that the Olympics will "create jobs" indicates that she is unaware of "opportunity cost" - one of the most basic concepts in economics.
She talks about the recession as if it is something that has "happened to" the country, notwithstanding that her great hero (Tony Blair) and Gordon Brown contributed to the recession and (more directly) left us greatly unprepared for it.
This woman can't even grasp the rudiments of filling in a mortgage form, yet she has the gall to sit in a studio like lady muck and pretend she knows something.
