Lets not get too excited about the school - it is a tired old building and really looks a mess, so I have no problem with the school being demolished, but what Michael Gove briefly mentioned and the media made little mention of was that the proposed minarets are going to be lying adjacent to the boundary of the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst and overlooking them. In the interests of security for the young officers under training, it would be foolish to give them full planning permission to achieve what the Muslims want. I wouldn't want any high building on the boundary for anyone, so it isn't anti Muslim.

Relations here are quite cordial, but so is an inclination to protect the Military. I pass the old school on my frequent trips to the local supermarket.
