For a man facing possibly the biggest challenge of his career it would have helped to have memorised the prepared script.When added to his self evident ignorance of procedure after a decade in the chair is it any wonder that his flock have given him the bird.
Apart from being a dimwit, he really needed to be one of the flawless ones to lead this. Clearly he is not.
Silly rules and silly conventions that do not serve the public interest need to be swept away. This man should not be allowed to go quietly and if Cameron hides behind convention then I will think less of him. Martin is a disgrace and that's how he should leave, in disgrace.
