Can't recall a weaker President since Carter. Having to prove his place of birth simply because Donald Trumps been demanding it shows Obama and the Democrats are on the back foot. The next US elections aren't far away and this isn't going to impress anyone.

This comes of not dealing with the matter decisively when the issue was raised YEARS ago. Many American politicians routinely publish their tax returns precisely to prevent accusations being made in the first place. Obama does indeed call to mind Jimmy ("Malaise") Carter. "The Donald" has long been a national joke, and now he has made Obama one too. There is an article in the current issue of The Onion: "Birthers Demand to See Obama's Placenta".
