It's not possible to say anthing about this apart from great news.
Sadly it is not possible to turn back the clock and bring the hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqi civilians back to life. Nor to bring back the trillion dollars of tax payer money spent on the war.
I also fear what will come next - the inevitable war with Iran. Everything points to America preparing for a major war with Iran. A war with Iran was only ever going to happen once Iraq had been wound down and must now be close.
Will British politicans have the courage to avoid British ground troops getting involved in another catastophe?

Tony Blair is happy in his £4 million country house, £4 million central London house and taxpayer funded security bubble. Meanwhile most Iraqis are grieving lost relatives, still living in squalor and facing the constant threat of terrorism.
Is there justice in the world?
Of course not.

"My fellow Americans: Major combat operations in Iraq have ended. In the Battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed"......President George W Bush, 1 May 2003
Shame on Tony Bliar for supporting this misadventure and shame on our Party for being gullible enough to believe him and falling into line in support. They have blood on their hands.

No one in this party has any blood on their hands you imbecile because we aren't the ones who lied to the public about it.

Come on Ultimo, you know Tony Bliar lies every time his lips move. Plus, how come some MPs (Ken Clarke being one) managed to spot that this was wrong?

So the people of Iraq will have 'only' 50,000 of America's barbarian hordes occupying their nation from August 31st.
Those lucky people
