Of course there is no question of the national interest being harmed by Damien Green's revelations. Only the electoral interests of the Labour party have been harmed and that makes the actions of the Labour government, its' Met toadies and Speaker Martin even more reprehensible and unacceptable.
This is an abuse of the worst kind perpetrated solely for party political reasons and Labour heads should roll for it.

Lets make a point about the arrest. Firstly, I don't think Dominic or anybody is suggesting the police do not do their job. Their job in this case is to investgate a criminal act took place. It now emerges that the investigation centre's on the so called 'grooming' of a civil servant. This means that pressure may have been exerted to obtain information. Surely, you are not condoning that? If you are then you are missing the point completely. This is not a leak investigation. It is a criminal investigation. The police have not commented which is correct procedure. Dominic is addressing the wrong issue.
