With the end of the financial year comes your new tax code through the letter box...

Why not ask a simple question that relies on people being fare towards their fellow citizens.

A simple questionaire with name... address... national insurance number...

You have now reached pension age...

taking your personal circumstises into account:

Do you require a State Pension? Yes or No

A No answer will allow us to remove you from the State Pension list and you will not recieve this pension.

THERE IS NO REASON FOR YOU THE RETURN THIS LETTER IF YOU WISH TO TAKE YOUR STATE PENSION AS IT WILL BE PAID WHEN YOU BECOME ELIGABLE...

An idea that would perhaps show some surprises and could be extended to other benifits.
