Condoleezza Rice is right to praise the "freedom agenda" of Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan. They did not accept that because dictatorship justified itself with ideology, it could entrap people forever. They did not accept that Communist propaganda would so poison the minds of its victims that they would remain mindless robots in the hands of the state. That is just as true of the propaganda of a theocratic tyranny and it is just as true today.
