Oh my, oh my, oh my, Nick, what are you doing?
Labour getting a new leader is one thing, but to think that propping up a leader that has not been elected by the people, well that is just labour's style isnt it?
The lib dems gained huge credibility during this election. If they do this they throw that all away.
I am lost for words.

Speechless.

This is good. Let them form a coalition. The Nationalists will demand Wales and Scotland be exempt from cuts. England will be furious. We already have a 50+ seat majority in England. We will win a landslide

Osborne has now offered electoral reform to the Lib Dems.
What a surprise - Cameron is so desperate to get into no.10 that he's prepared to destroy the Tory Party and turn it into a mirror image of Labour.

@Josh - possibly, but it'll be the expense of the country, albeit Lab/Lib/+ Dog's fault.

Yup, time to call his bluff, we may want office but we don't want it that bad! And plus, the Labour Party members are mostly against PR too, it would mean the end of Labour and the Conservatives and parties being able to form governments without the horse trading of PR.

If AV to a referendum is at far as it goes, where the Conservative party would forcefully campaing against AV, fair enough to get a deal (though that would have to be a fixed term parliament with no risk of the rug being pulled out).
But that must be absolutely the red line. There is no point at all gaining power to implement a Lib Dem agenda, that should not satisfy the Left of the Conservative party let alone the Right. The negotiating team need to remember who they are representing, not themselves in a cost Eton club grap for power, but millions of Conservative voters (including even those who would have voted Conservative but stayed away or protest voted UKIP or even BNP) who want to see a major change in direction in this country away from the Left wing policies that have damaged the economy and society at large.

Josh: I won't book any holidays for November - and nor should you.

BBC reporting that Lib Dems will be having negotiations with Labour tonight, and the plan is for a 5-year government.

Goodness, if only Cameron had run a better campaign we wouldnt be in this mess.

The bad Cameron campaign moments and the A list foolery were only part of the reason for the mediocre and inconclusive result. On top of that you had the UKIP idiots who lost us several seats. And an extremely volatile and impressionable electorate, with the majority not really understanding either the issues or the policies.

"Goodness,if only Cameron had run a better campaign
we wouldn't be in this mess".
DOUBLE GOODNESS!If the 'real Conservatives had not thrown their toys out of their prams?????
Whenever the Labour bods spoke, the MSM played it for a week, whenever Conservatives spoke, they were ridiculed by the MSM....'real' Conservatives bought the MSM line and protested against a definitive election result.....You pays your money and takes your chance.....Us TRUE BLUE BLOODED FAITHFUL Conservatives are just as buggered off at the 'real' Conservatives,as we are with Bozo & Co.
The men commenting on here should really STOP being so lily livered.
