1st January 1973 was the biggest shake up of our democracy since 1832 - and wholly damaging.

You really must think we are a bunch of morons. Give us a referendum on Europe. That's what we want. It is impossible to live in a democracy ruled by Brussels. We want jurisdiction over all our rights, not the ones that Europe or YOU generously leave us with.
All of those who voted Tory, you've been conned! Human Rights Act, don't make me laugh, that only protects terrorists in the UK, not old ladies who put the butter dish in the wrong bin.
I am so angry.
You are a treacherous lot of scumbags!
You'll get no tax from me from this day on.

Hear, hear to both of the above comments.
We have always been told that being members of the EU is in the public interest. Surely, with our financial centre about to be destroyed, along with £5billion in tax revenue and forthcoming European Economic Governance, plus our billions in membership costs (which will increase this year) - it cannot be in our interests any longer!!?? (not that I was ever convinced that it was in the first place)
Time for a referendum please.

Nick Clegg represents the very worst of British politics.
A cheerleader for Big Government, unilateral disarmament and EU hegemony.
A hypocrite who owes his entire career to privilege and patronage.
A snob who sneers at the average British voter whilst courting their votes.

Cameron and Clegg have already delivered the biggest shake-up of our democracy" since 1832, by replacing democracy with government by elite interests and backroom deals.

Whatever the argument for our present government. We could not go on with the old one without dire consequences. That has turned GB into a basket case.We had a government where most votes did not count. How can you equate this with DEMOCRACY.The truth is we have old systems for modern times. The house of frauds should be a museum exibit.Plus we should have i beleive a written constitution.
