He's using that face... you know, the one he uses when he's trying really hard to convince someone that he's right/telling the truth/sensitive to people's problems, delete where appropriate.

So WHO authorised the arrest MR. BROWN??, or are you seriously suggesting that the anti-terror officers 'took it upon themselves' to go out and arrest a BONA FIDE MP, but of course an OPPOSITION MP.
Yes and its raining giraffes in Whitehall!!

Lies. Blatant, bare faced lies.
Just like the absurd drivel 'nothing to do with opinion polls' cancellation of the election-that-never-was Mr Brown is again treating us like idiots.

"No MINISTER had prior knowledge!" - so who else in Labour did know? Campbell, Draper?
He's lying. This has all the hallmarks of a Labour bullying tactic - which is backfiring spectacularly. Why isn't Brown outraged at the abuse of Parliamentary privilege - particularly when he took advantage of the privilege so often when he was in Opposition.
This is the most corrupt Government we have had since universal franchise. We need a General Election and we need to get rid of them.

Either he did know about it in which case he should be ashamed and should resign for lying or he didnt know about it in which case the police have shown complete disregard for his position to the point of showing no confidence in him and thus he should resign. The same goes for the home secretary. I seriously do not believe they told the Mayor of london and no one else

Notice the way he keeps looking out of the window when asked about whether any ministers were aware of the arrest.
