Maybe Brown wanted to put him into a position so he could have the satisfaction of sacking him at last?

I would have posted this on a Labour site but couldn't find one.
I cannot fathom the intellect of Gordon Brown. Why has he brought a discredited MP into the Cabinet? The man's a muppet and his Cabinet reshuffle is laughable.
Is there no way we (ie the people) can have a vote of No Confidence in the government put forward in the HoC. Do we really have to wait until 2010? The only way this country is unified now is through the overwhelming contempt for the Labour Party and Gordon Brown.

With friends like, that who needs enemies!
70% of the Labour Party must now be wondering what further "two fingers to the lot of you" stunt will GB pull.

What a perfect backdrop - the scaffolding is symbolic of Brown's cabinet-constructing !
Also prescient, I seem to recall scaffold has other uses ....
