The POA respond in classic POA style....."Have you completely lost your mind, Governor?" The sentences handed out to these people for criminal behaviour are NOT too harsh.....the people who were on the receiving end of their criminality, whose homes were lost, whose businesses were destroyed and, we whose insurance premiums will rise because of the mayhem, whose sons were killed, will not think the sentences too harsh. The magistrates referred on to the Crown Courts those who needed further consideration and meted out the sentences that were within their remit, legally, to do so. Stop whingeing POA, you are paid handsomely for what you are supposed to do - deal with the prisoners in your charge.
