Martin Marprelate- A Man in the Street!

Ridiculous! I suppose some Council will employ her now. I only hope it is NOT a Conservative controlled one!

Jack Pershing

Who was in charge of the appeal..... King Herod?

Malcolm Wood

Well!! Ain't that a surprise.

The Criminal Justice system in this country gets more potty every day.

eg. Young boy accidently breaks a pane of glass in a greenhouse. Resulty - 3 police cars. Several burly coppers and the police helicopted attend.
.
Woman and her disabled daughter abused, threatened bullied and attacked almost daily for three years. Result - police do nothing, so woman commits suicide.

Potty laws created by out of touch potty judges

Winston Smith

Its not ridiculous, its was the obvious conclusion of a political interference in the due process of disciplinary action of employment. This is the direct consequence of the crass stupidity of one Ed Balls. £2.5m is the cost to the taxpayer of this idiot’s attempt to look good in the media.

Malcolm Wood

So now I suppose we'll have to give her £millions in compensation and see her walk into a massively paid job in the EU

An innocent child was tortured and killed on HER watch, whilst being looked after by HER department

How much more guilty do you have to be, in this crazy country, before you are locked up?

a-tracy

Her dismissal was deemed "procedurally unfair" not necessarily unjustified. Ofsted's report had said there was "insufficient strategic leadership and management oversight" and their report was upheld. In cases of Gross Misconduct I thought an employer can act with "immediate effect".

The most important thing to check is that "Haringey's children's services are now much improved as a result and that children are better protected".

David J

A totally stupid decision by the Court, in favour of a woman who was more concerned with departmental figures - than the fate of a poor little boy.

robert

The courts are not interested in the horrific death of a child which could have been prevented by decent social workers who were properly trained.
The lack of training and quality of the front line social workers is the direct responsibility of Shoesmith.
The justice system in Britain is biased in favour of the criminal rather than the victim and the public know it.

Winston Smith is correct. Ed Balls had her sacked because she drew attention to the disastrous consequences of HIS policies, which he then proceeded to cover up. Sacking her was part of the cover up.

Justice has almost been done. It will be done when Ed Balls is finally put in the dock. How likely is that to happen?
